Description
Material
The finished quilt will measure 31” x 54”.
Please bring fabrics for the quilt top to your first session. I recommend 3-5 fabrics at 50 cm x wof (width of fabric) each. Bring cotton or linen or beloved clothes that you want to work into your quilt, almost every type of textile works but please stick to one type.
You will also need material for the binding, wadding and backing. I recommend to purchase it at a later stage of this course because we will talk about these materials in one of our sessions.
Sewing equipment
Please bring your sewing machine, rotary cutter, ruler and mats. If you don’t have any of those you can rent my equipment at $5/session to cover the ‘wear and tear’.
Timing
We will plan the dates for all sessions on our first day together. Being a beginner, you will need 12 hours to finish the quilt, a bit of homework will be necessary too.
